Wadi Al-Aqiq
A historical valley running west of the city, tied for centuries to its building, its farms and its palaces.
Al-Aqiq shows a different side of Madinah, away from the mosques alone. Farms, palaces and historical sites grew along the valley, and its name is still firmly part of the city's memory and its geography.
The best way to make sense of it is to visit it alongside the sites that sit along it, such as Urwa's palace.
