Al-Ghamamah Mosque
A historical mosque a short walk from the Prophet's Mosque, tied to where the Prophet ﷺ prayed the Eid and rain prayers.
A short distance from the courtyards of the Prophet's Mosque stands Al-Ghamamah, distinctive in its dark stone. The site is associated with the Prophet's praying ground: the Eid and rain prayers were prayed in this area, as was the absentee prayer for the Negus.
Being so close makes it an easy stop on a walk through the central area.
Naqsh tip
It needs no trip of its own — add it to a walk around the Prophet's Mosque.
